What is ossHack?

ossHack is a 48-hour hackathon where developers and engineers around the world can build cool projects for the front-end, backend, or for native desktop and mobile clients, except there's a catch: the project has to be open-source.

Where is ossHack?

In short, anywhere! It's completely online and virtual, so that means you can sit at home and hack some cool stuff up, all while being part of a global competition.

How will this competition work?

If you've ever seen Static Showdown, Node Knockout, or Rails Rumble, its a quite similar format to those. For those of you who have not, teams will register before the competition, and will have 48 hours from the starting time of the competition to write all the code for their projects. You are welcome to come up with ideas and create a gameplan for how you are going to spend the time, but nothing digital (code or graphics included) can be created before the 48 hours start. After the 48 hours, your submissions will be evaluated by the judges and the winners will be announced in various categories shortly after.
